For those of you who may not have heard, Gary Anderson, our recently appointed Referee In Chief for Montana Amateur Hockey Association, passed away February 2 in Havre, Montana.  On behalf of Montana Amateur Hockey Association and all of the players, coaches, referees, and volunteers we offer our very deepest sympathy and condolences to his family at this time.

 

            Gary stepped into the position as our Referee In Chief with high hopes and ambitions to unify the referee program around the state and to bring an atmosphere of cooperation and growth to our programs.  In my conversations with Gary, I appreciated his direct and frank comments and observations along with his willingness to implement what he felt were necessary changes to accomplish our common goals.  I hope that his vision and enthusiasm for the game and for the refereeing programs will carry on.

 

            The funeral is set for Wednesday, February 6^th at 1:00 at the 5^th Avenue Christian Church in Havre, Montana.  All of the floral shops in Havre know the address for the church and can accommodate your arrangements.  Gary’s obituary will appear in the Havre and Great Falls papers on Tuesday with more information.
